I purchased a VW bug from George in Hawaii in 1971 as he was getting ready to go back to Coronado. I heard later on that he was found on his parents bed where he died from suicide. He told me in Hawaii that he felt he could not be a doctor due to the blemish of an arrest due to 2 former class mates who snitched on 13 of their fellow classmates, including me for sales of weed in 1967. George and I were both vindicated in court, but I believe the burden was too much for him. I knew George for many years growing up in Coronado and have fond memories of those times.
