Jane Leigh Lueng age 69, passed away on November 26, 2017, in Houston Texas following a bout with pneumonia and other health issues. Leigh was born February 10, 1948, in New Orleans, LA, to parents John and Jane Schaefer. As her father was a military officer she lived in several places around the country before the family settled in Coronado, CA. Leigh graduated from Coronado High School in 1966.
After attending Nursing school in El Centro CA she was in the nursing profession for over 30 years. Leigh served graciously in hospitals, dialysis centers, home health care, and for a health insurance company as a nurse consultant before she retired due to having a stroke.
Her husband, Michael E. Eythell was by her side for almost 30 years. Leigh had 2 beautiful daughters, Teri and Tricia, by a previous marriage, who preceded her in death. Besides her husband, she is survived by: stepchildren Mickey Eythell (Nicole), and Dwayne Eythell, 3 sisters, Elizabeth Roberts of Sacramento CA, Susan Brinck (Peter) of Redmond WA, Patricia Lindsey (Larry) of Lansing KS, a brother John Schaefer (Jeanette) of Coronado CA, Grandchildren Destiny, Celeste, Ansara, and Reece Eythell, several nieces and nephews, an aunt, many cousins, and 3 cats.
Leigh was an avid reader and expert at crossword puzzles. Before her health issues of the past 10 years, Leigh enjoyed going to the beach in Galveston, traveling to see family, and cooking.
