Bill Wolken's sister DiAnna Traupel from Noble, Oaklahoma sent an email letting us know that Bill passed away, here is an excerpt from her emai:

"I just received information on your 50th class reunion, I should say it was sent to brother William (Bill) Wolken. It is with a heavy heart that I must let you know he passed away May 7, 2015. Here in Oklahoma."

I rememer Bill . He was a nice guy.  I think his dad was a sailor so I leaned a lot of dirty jokes from Bill. He and some other friends used to come over and play cards and listen to music.

Bill was part of the gang in my Sophmore year: Ted Allison, Bob Horner, Tim Grant, Bill Perry. We would hang out at Central Beach, body surf, smoke cigarettes, and goof around. I remember he scored big time with this little cutie named Sheila. One time at a football game he accidentally hacked a loggie that landed on my Pendelton. I wiped it back on him and he called me out to fight. There was an excited crowd gathered in the alley behind the gym like it was some big boxing match. We duked it out. I landed a couple between the eyes and Bill conceded. The next day he had two black eyes and a swollen nose. We remained good friends. The last time I saw Bill was at that reunion at the Mexican Village. He was a good guy and an important part of my youth.
