I'm so sorry to hear about Jack's passing. He was a good friend and a fellow track teammate. His sense of humor and affable personality is what I remember most. He was also one of the four members (Jack Pearson, Bob Angulo, Doug Barnett & Fred Parente) of the school record-setting 880 yard relay.

I remember Jack as a really quiet, unassuming guy and an incredible athlete. I would say to him congrats for making it last so long.

I remember Jack and Reid Dawkins from the track team.  Jack was always upbeat and positive and a pleasure to talk to.  He also saved the day on several occasions when it looked like we were not going to win a race.  I still have the baton (we named it "lucky Leo" ) that we used in the relay races we ran. I am really sorry to hear that he has passed away.  I will always remember him and Reid as really good friends and exceptionally good athletes.

I think Jack was also an end on the football team, and Reid was a halfback.  You guys who played football can correct me if I got that wrong. Both good guys and talented athletes.

Gerry, I don't remember Jack on our 65 team, Reid certainly was.

Actually, Jack was a starting wide receiver on the 65 team. In addition he would have been a solid baseball player as well, based on his performance in Pony League. But he was way too fast on the track to pass that up.
