Paula Blonsky, 63, a nurse who specialized in fertility and reproductive health, died Dec. 18 at Easton Hospital in Easton, Md.

She had endometrial cancer, her half-sister, Alicia Knight, said.

Mrs. Blonsky began her nursing career at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, where she worked in the maternity ward. She later worked at a private obstetrics and gynecological practice and in the fertility department of the Kaiser Permanente Foundation facility in Kensington.

She spent five years at a Kaiser Permanente medical center in San Francisco before moving to Easton in September 2010. She worked in a private gynecology practice until her death.

Paula Elise Burton was born in Birmingham, Ala. She was adopted as a toddler by her stepfather and took the surname Knight. She graduated from high school in Coronado, Calif., and studied music at San Diego State University.

She received an associate’s degree in nursing from a community college in Lake County, Ill., before receiving a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1986. She received a master’s degree in nursing from UMBC in 1991.

Her marriages to Philip Savage and Eugene McNinch ended in divorce.

A son from her second marriage, Blaire McNinch, died in 2005.

Survivors include her husband of seven years, Howard Blonsky of Easton and San Francisco; a daughter from her first marriage, Claire Kerr of Virginia Beach; a daughter from her second marriage, Erin McNinch of Denton, Md.; two stepchildren from her second marriage, Eugene McNinch III of Denton and Christine Newman of Ocean City, Md.; her mother, Burton Knight of Columbia; a half-sister, Alicia Knight of Stafford; and eight grandchildren.
