Reid and his wife Nancy were able to attend the 40th class reunion. It was Reid's first time to come back since high school graduation. Reid's Obituary:
Reid passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from cancer. Reid was a resident of Spartanburg, South Carolina at the time of his passing. He graduated from Coronado High School in San Deigo, CA.
Mr. Dawkins served in the United States Air Force. He was married to Nancy.
A Celebration of the Life of Reid Durrah Dawkins was held July 18, 2015 and interment with military rites followed at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, SC.

Reid would sometimes lead our football team in drills, during these drills he would refer to himself as "the Imperial Wizzard" he had a great sense of humor.

Gosh, I am so sorry to see this tonight.....I was hoping to see Reid at our 50th class reunion this summer....He was always such a nice person and a real gentleman....with a wonderful smile on his face.....Rest in Peace my friend...

I knew Reid for many years, primarily as an athlete on the track team. He and I ran many relay races together and compteted in the 100 yard dash. I still have the baton that we used on the relay team. He was a tremendous athlete and a good friend. I was saddened by his passing and wish I could have seen him one more time at least at the 50th reunion. You will be missed Reid. Rick Parente
